The Original Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie is an all time favorite. This is the recipe found on the package of Nestle chocolate chips.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter (softened)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups Nestle Semi-Sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) or both
In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in Nestle semisweet chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by level measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Cookies should be brown around the edges and will look a little soft in the middle but once cooled they will be perfect. The yield is about 5 dozen.
I always double this recipe because 5 dozen would last about 2 days in my house. Happy Eating.
